the location of the hotel is excellent. it has very friendly staff and it is a place to put your head.
our room had single beds. the shower didnt work properly and there was no air conditioner and it was 30 degrees - very hot.
Breakfast included in price
Poor room sound proofing, bed not very comfortable, no free coffee facilities
We came for the Montreal f1 gp and found the hotel location excellent on 2 fronts - easy to access the track via subway, and only blocks away from the St. Laurent Weekend Street Party
Place is a bit tired - needs some painting, and new carpeting. The "continental breakfast" is just coffee, a little juice and breads - some fruit would be a nice addition. Also, we were very dissappointed to find the hotel does not take Amex, even though it is stated on Booked.net.
It was close to Rue St. Laurent.
They don't have parking. They don't have a phone in the room. They don't have room service. We stayed at "Delux Room" and It was way overpriced for such hotel/room.
The location is great, 10+minutes by feet to Chinatown. Near the metro station and centre ville.
it's not very clean, we can see spide. the breakfast is so simple, but it's free.
Location in Montreal was perfect as we were in town to see the Rogers Cup at Uniprix Stadium (right on the 55 bus line) and also to sightsee in Old Montreal and do some shopping on Ste. Catherine's.
Had trouble with the shower as there was no water pressure and it didn't work very well.
Very comfortable room and particularly friendly staff. With heavy bags it was good to have a ground floor room.
The advertised free Internet access in all rooms was continuously spotty in my room. This was frustrating.
Nice decor, close to shopping and restaurants
Finding parking can be inconvenient. There are only 2 stalls available at the hotel, and on-street parking is not always conveniently available.
Not much we liked.Rooms were so busy ,bathroom was clean . Internet works well. Breakfast is disaster,We had few days old crossans,so bad we could not bite !!! ... and very little buffet and really it was disappointment . Coffe was great . Anyhow ,it is okey level ,but worn out decoration/old carpets .not painted halls.Looks really worn out. It is not really as I expected as I have seen on the Web site They have lovely location ,I hope they renovate hotel very soon. Thanks for reading Yasemen
While the hotel was clean it lacked two important features I expect in any hotel. The ventilation in my room was non existent. It was too warm and very stuffy. Ventilation is controlled centrally and was insufficient in my room. Secondly, the continental breakfast was the worst quality I've ever experienced. Save yourself time and walk to the nearby coffee shop and have yourself a decent continental breakfast.
This is a lovely old Inn where each room is unique. The staff were INCREDIBLE- friendly, genuine, helpful. The location is excellent for local dinners out and exploring Montreal.
Book on the main level if you need to avoid stairs.
The Hotel is close to shopping centres and within walking distance to the main action area :-)
As with most older hotels in Montreal, you have to walk up the stairs. No elevators for those with kids.
The location is great the hotel's ambiance is nice usually the rooms are clean but this stay our room was surprisingly not as clean as previous experiences the staff are friendly and helpful
The sheets were stained and there were dirty toilet paper on the bathroom's floor and in the sink as soon as we walked in after check-in there are no safe boxes in the rooms no irons for the rooms or one that can be brought to the room the shower's water pressure is very low
Location to Jazz Festival and activities Friendly, helpful staff.
No ice. Machine was too small, too close to hot soda machine. Did not make sufficient ice. The shower head was terrrible in our room and there was no water pressure. Took a long time to rinse hair.
Great place, very friendly staff. If you are looking for a vintage experience and are not looking for the latest air conditioned modern place that's the place to go.
